Fresh Doughnuts

Have you ever had a fresh homemade doughnut? If not you really ought to try it.

Feels like Fall

I got a little creative with some left over fondant. Cupcakes can be boring sometimes and the needed a little uplifting fall spirit. These are mini pumpkin pie cupcakes.

Up next we have some fondant pumpkins on a pumpkin spice cupcake.

Pumpkin spice cake with cream cheese frosting and candy corn flowers. What else says fall?
Trick? or Treat?

Specialty Cakes

This cake was made for a lingerie shower.  It was made withe a butter cream frosting a well as fondant features. This picture doesn't do it justice, there is much more detail that can't be seen. All of my fondant is homemade.  It's texture differs from store bought fondant in that it is softer and melts in your mouth.
The petitfours were made for a bridal tea party and featured fondant icing, which is a lighter form of fondant that can be drizzled over the dessert.
This wedding cake as made for a special bride who wanted to challenge the traditional.  She not only had a tangerine colored wedding cake but she wore a purple dress!

HApPy BiRthDAy to YoU!

This i one of the new tiered baby cakes I am making.
This is a slice cake that is covered in fondant and made to look like a slice of cake.
This is a fondant cake made to resemble Dr. Seuss' "Oh the Places You Go" book. It was made for a Dr. Seuss themed birthday party.
This is also a tiered baby cake, covered in fondant and served with over sized cake balls!

Simply Summer

I love to use fresh flowers! These cakes are simple summer treats.

What we have here is a picture of a Dr. Suess "Oh the Places You Go" cake for a little boys first birthday, a  petit four for a tea party and a Wedding cake for a non traditional bride!

Finished Product

So here is the finished product for Kendra and Nick. I had a little trouble getting the groom (strawberry) to stay out of the chocolate:) but it all turned out just right! Enjoy.

Lightning McQueen birthday cake! It turned out different than I had intended but sometimes you have to go with the flow! Clark absolutley loved this cake! It had a healthier flare to it...just dont tell him it had beet juice in it! Lighning McQueen can't be BEET!
